cow pie crit is a gravel road criterium race offering 3 different distances.
Beginner Crit: 16 miles
Intermediate crit: 24 miles
expert/elite crit: 36.8 mile race
try to pick a distance you can maintain at least a 17mph pace by yourself.
60% Gravel, 10% stadium 2 track, 30% pavement including all the u shaped turns on the route.
a 1.6 mile mainly gravel route around the cow pie classic camping area, the gravel midway, through the arena and down to the gravel straightaway finish.
Rules:
if you lose contact with your group of riders you have 1 lap to gain back that position or find another group to ride with. if you can not maintain a pace with a group of riders you must withdraw from the race. breakways are excluded from this rule.
groups overtaking other riders will announce pass left at a safe spot to pass.
groups being passed must slow and move to the right while being passed.
how large of a group needed is up to the discretion of the race director based on overall event safety. we thank you for helping us keep riders safe.
we will assign waves with exact start times.
overall winners of the different race distances and waves will be awarded.
